Terry's Kids Youth Orchestra is designed for kids that love playing in an Orchestra, but would like to know more about what they're playing. We cover different composers from Copland to Stravinsky, we talk about what they were trying to say through their music. We will also experiment in Jazz.

Julio Reyes studied with George Sakellariou and David Tanenbaum at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. By 1986 he continued his conducting studies with maestros Kent Nagano, Richard Buckley and Dr. Dennis DeCoteau, became principal cellist of the Oakland Symphony Youth Orchestra and had toured with them internationally as both cellist and guitar soloist.

GirlPower
GirlPower Founded by Leslie Darwin O-Brien.
We do a great job in the Bay Area regarding academics and sports, but we fall far behind when helping young, as well as mature women deal with the mean girl scene, unhealthy competition, and a lack of self-esteem. We now provide an extra buffer community for our young gals.
Led by our board director, Leslie Dawin O'Brien, we offer GirlPower, a program designed to help build a sense of community and self-esteem for women, especially 6th-12th grade girls.
We provide values that emphasize self-worth, respect, wisdom, and intuition, building a sense of community, creativity, fully recognizing the sacred in every person.
These sessions are held at the Orinda Community Church, 10 Irwin Way, Orinda. This program is open to all girls in and out of the Orinda community.
Session includes:
Dinner with the Aunts - other women in the community who join in on dinners with the girls. Writing, yoga, dating and friendships, labyrinth walks, guided meditation, as well as other similar related classes and clinics.
